Nothing Ever (the Noely Song)   from Romans chapter 8

Words / Music by Keri Jacobs

When my daughter, Noely, was in the hospital, I read to her from Romans 8 and set these verses to music. In the midst of her pain, my prayer was that she would have comfort and assurance from the promises of God. Now my prayer is that the song would comfort others as well. I thank Esther Galletta for being a help and support (and tutor!) for Noely as she was recovering. I also thank the Robinsons for their friendship, prayers and support... Romans 8:28: "And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." Lastly, I thank Nurse Terry and the staff of Childrens Hospital. - Keri

What can ever separate us from the love of Christ?
Nothing ever can separate us from the love of Christ.

Can trouble or trials or pain or persecution?
Can hunger or cold, or danger of death?

Our fears of today, or worries of tomorrow;
In all these things we are more than conquerors.

Nothing ever can separate us from the love of Christ.

Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared
 to the glory we will share in later on.

 If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
 He did not spare His Son, but gave Him for us all.

 Nothing ever can separate us from the love of Christ.

What can ever separate us from the love of Christ?
Nothing ever can separate us from the love of Christ.

Not death or life or angels or demons;
Nothing high above or in the deepest depths

Our present, our future, nor all of creation;
Nor the powers of hell can keep His love from us.

Nothing ever can separate us from the love of Christ.
